PRCDRC (Prof.Rashid Chaudhry Drug Rehab Center) the dream of the late Prof.Dr.Haroon Rashid Chaudhry, has been discontinued and closed after his death, as the team were not allowed to continue their efficient work and to fulfill the humanitarian and public welfare aims of Prof.Dr.Haroon Rashid Chaudhry. The same and better services are being provided by Dr.Nyla Shafiq the Project Director of PRCDRC and her poficient, skilled and educated team at Blessings Rehab Center. How we do our treatment and what our objectives are?

I am Miss.Mehreen Kamwal and the Senior Supervisor in the new and highly facilitated, Prof. Rashid Chaudry Drug Rehab Center in Lahore. The aims and objectives of this institute are very clear, to detoxify and rehabilitate the patients who are effected by drugs and alcohol, basically we are trying to give them their normal lives back.



This is NOT a profit making institute, instead we generate money and donate it to Fountain House, Lahore.



A team of experienced and trained professionals are available for serving our patients and their demands 24/7. The services we are providing include gymnasium, yoga, classic cosine, centrally air conditioned/heated, roof-top garden with a variety of extra-ciricular activities. Counselling sessions with families, proper medication, individual and group therapy sessions with patients and lectures involving disease concept.



So, including all these activities we are trying to serve humanity and mankind.

Treatment Plan at PRCDRC

Our Project Director Dr.Nyla says;

"Once a patient enters PRCDRC we start working on his treatment plan. Usually for the first week the patient remains in the detoxification unit so that the patient has been able to fight his withdrawal symptoms with special care. During this process our psychiatrist, Medical officers and psychologists keep a check on the patient to ensure his safety and to study his psyche for psychological rehabilitation. Once the patient is successfully detoxified work begins on his psychological rehabilitation parallel to his physical, social and spiritual rehabilitation. For this purpose, regular group sessions, individual sessions, therapeutic meetings are held with the patient alongside with the psychological teaching and training of families on all topics required. During their stay at PRCDRC the patient is provided all healthy activities and facilities and are given a homely and very cathartic environment. Our patients are treated in very technical methods and with the guidance of eminent physicians and internationally recognised books and guidance resource journals. In simple words 'We rejuvenate generations and families with honesty and sincerity'. "

Lectures at PRCDRC

On 17th of April 2010 we had our first lecture concerning the CME program. The lecture was delivered by Dr.Nyla Shafiq concerning the introduction to psychiatry. All topics concerning the subject were discussed. A team of Post Gradutes attenteded this lecture which will be held twice every month.
